THE GEOGRAPHICAL STUDY OF THE USE OF THE SOCIAL NAME IN THE NATIONAL EXAMINATION OF MIDDLE SCHOOL: THE ENTRY OF THE TRANS POPULATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

The present work brings to light a research of great importance for the scope of the geography that is the study of the social diversity in the scope of geographic science, to study the gender and its particularities is of great value, because it can understand the social relations. The central objective is to analyze the importance of the use of the social name in the National High School Examination (ENEM) in relation to the percentages of admission to this new achievement. The work is justified by the need to have studies focused on the LGBT area within geographic science, the same as it is a wide field of multidisciplinary study and that can cross several biases. In addition, it is notorious that studies such as these are scarce in the academy, thus being a major contribution to the LGBT theme in Brazil. The research makes use of reference and bibliographical researches regarding the conquest by the transvestites and transsexuals in the right of the use of the social name in several selective processes as it is the case of Enem, as well as in articles and postulate concerning the subject, since there are few studies in the area, as well as scant articles and abstracts on the use of the social name. The article is divided in a sequential and objective way, where it will be possible to understand the use of the social name in the federal constitution, and its current allocation, as well as the process that has given this new adequacy in the National High School Examination. The use of the social name is an important right that transvestites and transsexuals have achieved, a constitutional right of citizenship.
