Dear readers, researchers, and collaborators,
It is with great satisfaction that we present the 2018.3 edition of IJET-PDVL, a milestone in the dissemination of academic knowledge and the promotion of science. This special issue is dedicated to the thematic dossier "Relationship with Knowledge", based on discussions from the XII International Colloquium on Education and Contemporaneity (EDUCON), held at the Federal University of Sergipe.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all authors, reviewers, and editorial team members who contributed to this publication. The studies compiled here strengthen educational research and foster reflections on the relationship with knowledge in various contexts.
This edition features the following articles:

- Overview of Research on the Relationship with Knowledge in Argentina – A study on the development of research in Argentina and its implications for education.
- Challenges in Brazilian Education – Reflections on how the expansion of school hours impacts students' engagement with learning.
- Scientific Production on the Relationship with Knowledge (2015-2018) – A review of research developments and their contributions to educational studies.
- Knowledge and Gender in Modernity – A theoretical study on the feminization of education and gender inequalities in learning.
- Contributions from the EDUCON and NUPERES Research Groups – An analysis of how these networks have promoted the concept of the relationship with knowledge in Brazil.
Each of these studies reinforces the importance of the relationship with knowledge as a fertile field for educational research. We hope this edition inspires further reflection and contributes to new investigations and pedagogical practices.
