THE ART PRESENT IN GEOGRAPHY: A STUDY ABOUT THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN SCIENCE AND ARTISTIC EXPRESSION IN THE CONTEXT OF THE PROGRAM AWAKENING VOCATIONS TO LICENSE

Our research seeks to understand the relationships and dialogues that exist between Geography and the Arts. We believe that this search contributes to the understanding of teaching in Geography, considering that approaching knowledge through the dialogue between the arts and science is a methodological choice that breaks with the traditional concept of "the scientific" and summons our feelings, our intuition. and expression for a dialogue with reason. Our study focuses on the relationship between Geography and Art, in order to produce didactic strategies that strengthen the cooperation developed by PDVL and the awakening of interest for the teaching career in Geography. Our research uses as a methodological reference the qualitative research of a participant nature, supported by the theoretical deepening around the themes Art, Geography and Teaching, in the first phase combined with an action research in a partner public school. Our work studies the forms of dialogues between the Artistic Expression and the teaching of Geographic Science, having as great challenge to make the teacher and the future teachers try to understand and explore the theoretical and methodological possibilities present in this intercession. The dialogue of knowledge between arts and geography is still a great challenge, but we believe this is the way to further arouse the desire to learn to the point where students are trained to be critical and active citizens in their time and place. in their reality so as to build a more just and fraternal world. Given the studies mobilized so far, we understand that it is necessary to strengthen the theoretical and methodological instruments that provide the dialogue between Geography and the Arts. After the theoretical studies of this first moment, it is clear the importance of artistic expression in the educational process and especially in the relationship of the teaching of geography.
