Apresentamos, nesta edição, o volume 9, número 1, de 2026, da International Journal Education and Teaching (PDVL) — ISSN 2595-2498. Este número reúne 12 artigos apresentados no XII Congresso Internacional das Licenciaturas, compondo uma coletânea dedicada à reflexão sobre os desafios, as práticas e as possibilidades que atravessam a educação contemporânea.
Os trabalhos contemplam discussões sobre ensino de Ciências, formação docente, experimentação, ludicidade, educação inclusiva, sustentabilidade, letramento científico, inteligência artificial, jogos educativos, espaços não formais de aprendizagem e práticas pedagógicas investigativas. Educational Game as a Proposal for Teaching Botany – This study presents the development and application of the game "Velha Botânica" in a school in Piauí, promoting playful learning about plant groups and their characteristics. The game proved to be an effective resource for motivating and engaging students in Botany studies.
Analysis of the Approach to the Area of Plane Figures in the BNCC – The article examines how the Brazilian Common National Curriculum (BNCC) addresses the concept of area in Basic Education, identifying a strong emphasis on numerical aspects over geometric understanding, potentially limiting students’ conceptual development.
